What kind of SARS-CoV-2virus test is required?
Passengers from the red-flagged countries which are member countries of the EU or countries within the Schengen area must present a rapid antigen test for SARS-CoV-2, which must not be older than 24 hours prior to crossing the border.
Passengers from red-flagged countries which are NOT member countries of the EU or countries within the Schengen area must present a PCR test for SARS-CoV-2, which must not be older than 48 hours prior to crossing the border.
Furthermore, requires tests must be performed by one of the laboratories approved by the Slovenian state. The list of laboratories for each country can be found here:
How many negative tests do accredited media have to provide upon entry?
If the traveller arrives not earlier than 72 hours before the event (MD-3), one negative test is required. This must be dated a maximum of three days before the match; if the test to enter the country was within this time period then that is sufficient.
If the traveller arrives earlier than MD-3, two tests within five days ahead of the match are required. These two tests must have been performed within the previous five days and be separated by at least 48 hours (i.e. MD-5 and MD-3).
Do I need an official invitation letter?
Yes. Once your media accreditation request is approved, the Hungarian National Association will issue and send via email an official entry support letter. It is strongly recommended that this letter be printed and carried with the applicant at all times.
